Why this matters personally

for the last six years, I’ve been running a paid investing newsletter called The Pick.

every week I break down companies, explain investment rationale, and share how I think about long-term investing decisions.

what surprised me was not that people wanted stock ideas.

instead

A note on who I let in- In Season 1, I refunded 180 people because their signup answers told me they weren't the right fit. The Pick isn't trying to be the biggest investing community — it's trying to be the most thoughtful one. If you join and it's not for you, I'd rather refund you than keep your money.

I'm spending S5 going one or two layers deeper - the compute, power, cooling, and enabler businesses that have to exist for the AI buildout to happen. Covid created a handful of generational winners in 18 months. The AI buildout is a longer, larger version of that. I want us positioned in the picks-and-shovels, not the headlines.
